Layher ladders come with a 5-year Layher warranty over and above the statutory warranty arrangements. This covers material and
manufacturing defects in all aluminium and steel parts. It starts from the purchase date of the product, to be evidenced by te receipt.

LAYHER LADDERS AND STEPS

The new Layher Combigrip Ladder Foot – Safety included

1. The Layher Combigrip ladder foot is made of a 2-component plastic: a hard inner section (orange) for secure mounting inside the stile, and a soft outer covering (black), non-slip on every floor surface.

That ensures:
- play-free mounting in ladder stile
- high slipping resistance, for maximum stability of ladders
- long service life – no cutting or reshaping of the foot

2. The Layher Combigrip ladder foot ensures easy retrofitting of a ladder cross-piece – without any sawing or drilling whatsoever. The ladder foot only has to be additionally riveted when a cross-piece is retro-fitted. The cross-piece is simply inserted into the cutout provided for it in the foot, and then firmly screwed to the stile ends using hexagonal-head screws.

3. With the Layher Combigrip ladder foot, you automatically comply with the new requirements of DIN EN 131, which starting in autumn 2017 will specify a cross-piece for simple ladders of 3 metres and more length.

4. The Layher Combigrip ladder foot can be quickly and easily retrofitted in Layher TOPIC ladders of earlier generations. Just drill out the rivet, remove the old ladder shoe, insert the Combigrip ladder foot and secure it with a new rivet.

5. For even better stability on grass or soil, the Layher TOPIC ladders can be quickly and easily provided with spikes. No tiresome drilling or riveting needed. Simply screw them in – done.

Existing ladder accessories such as ladder rollers can still be used – without any problems and without any restrictions.

Aluminum Ladders

Layher aluminum ladders provide strength and durability at low weight and are used in all trades, as a location for light work or to provide access to high locations. Slip-proof ladder feet, grooved rungs and low weight ensure safety and ergonomic work conditions.

Wooden Ladders

Wooden ladders are robust and good value. They are designed for low heights, where weight is not a critical factor. A wooden ladder is the first choice where you wish to avoid aluminum abrasion on the hands. Above all, painters and drywall builders swear by wooden ladders.

1. Steps and rungs made from high-strength, sealed extruded profiles without longitudinal welding seams that are highly robust. They are press-fitted into the spars in 4 points. The shape of the triangular steps ensures that they are secure against rotation, and the press fitting ensures a high degree of lateral stability for the ladder. The strongly ribbed tread on the steps and rungs ensures a high level of surefootedness.

2. Plastic-sheathed steel hinges with play-free, loose-proof screw fittings for a long service life.

3. The special construction of the wooden ladder profile lets it sustain high loads at a low ladder weight. Beads along the outer wooden wall prevent damage to the step flange, e.g. when guiding it over truck loading sills.

4. The shape of the step pressed fitting increases the contact surface of the steps with the inner wooden wall, so that greater mechanical loads can be transferred.

5. Additional stiffeners at the ends of the uprights ensure that the values under DIN EN 131 are exceeded.

6. Tear-proof, polyester straps to transfer loads up to 3 kN.

7. Combigrip ladder feet with special support surfaces ensure slip-proof positioning. They also allow easy retrofitting of cross members.

SIMPLE LADDERS

3-part all-purpose ladder

TOPIC 1040

Optionally as extension ladder, simple ladder, double ladder or extendible double ladder – all possible thanks to special joints. Secure free standing of ladder thanks to cross-piece. Aluminium stiffeners with pushbutton locking prevent accidental release. Manual rung-by-rung height adjustment using engaging hook. Securing mechanism to prevent ladder from lifting or sliding out of position. All versions offer ease of handling. Optionally available with rubber-lined rollers to prevent damage when running them up and down walls.

ROOF LADDERS

Special ladders for professional use. Wooden ladders in lengths from 2.85 – 4.81 m for limited-period assembly work on roofs. Aluminium ladders – for long-term attachment to the roof.

Layher roof ladders are permanently attached to the house roof to enable safe access at all times for recurring maintenance work, e.g. on chimneys or satellite dishes.

ALUMINIUM ALL-PURPOSE BOXES

Sturdy transport containers made from 1-mm thick aluminium sheet. Lightweight, strong and non-deformable thanks to all-round beading and moulded corner reinforcements. Very strong hinged lid with limiting straps to prevent ripping out of the hinges. The four nylon/polyester stacking corners make them ideal for stacking on EURO pallets. Safety handles with springs, rubber-coated for convenient transport. The contents are safeguarded by sturdy lever-action clamps, with holes for a padlock and an option for fitting cylinder locks. All-round rubber seal inside the box section protects the contents against dust, dirt and splash water. Resistant to corrosion, weather and temperature

STAIRWAYS

Aluminium stairway 112 with platform as per DIN EN 131.

Can be fixed in position at buildings as an emergency exit, at machines as a raised workplace, etc.

Special stile made of strong aluminium section. Step profile grooved for sure footing.
Handrail made of 30 mm diameter round tubing with cast aluminium connector as the connecting element. Attachment using angular mounting sections at top and bottom of stairway.
