The Steel Deck LW

The steel deck LW

Through rigorous testing and design improvements, we have reduced the weight of the steel deck by up to 10 % – all while retaining a high load-bearing capacity. This makes our steel deck not only lighter, but easier to handle and transport. Discover the benefits that the steel deck LW from Layher has to offer:

Available in lengths between 0.73 m and 4.14 m.
Available in widths between 0.19 m and 0.32 m.
Rails with edge holes for steel tubes.
Can be used up to load class 6 (depending on deck length) and in standard and roof brick guards.
Optimised steel cap and new longitudinal profile allow for better grip, ensuring more ergonomic handling and greater safety.
Strong feeling of safety when walking on the decks thanks to transverse reinforcements in the surface.
A 10% reduction in weight while retaining a high load-bearing capacity – meaning lower labour costs, an increase in truck capacity and improved ergonomics.
Can be combined with steel decks of previous generations during assembly and transport.

The Xtra-N deck

Consisting of an aluminium frame with riveted steel cap and filled with a glass-fibre-reinforced and non-slip plastic board.

The Robust deck

Consisting of an aluminium frame with riveted steel cap, filled with a plywood board protected against rot.

Accessories

Brackets

SpeedyScaf can be easily widened inwards or outwards. The brackets attach with a welded half-coupler in the corner plate area or as swivel brackets, using the spigot of the Speedy assembly frame Lightweight, to create a deck level with the main scaffolding.

Anchoring

Anchoring scaffolding to a facade requires vertical and parallel support to handle tensile and compressive stress. Layher offers efficient and safe solutions:

The SpeedyScaf wall tie, fastened with a double coupler and supported with a fork plate, provides secure anchoring.
The wall tie connects with double couplers to both upright tubes for stability.
The SpeedyScaf corner plate coupler allows continuous anchoring on the corner plate, providing greater height clearance.
The ETICS tie is used for handling high forces when using thermal insulation compound systems.
The Speedy Vario wall tie system provides stable and secure anchoring, whether inside the scaffolding level or outside the connectors of the assembly frame, making it ideal for buildings with many windows or skeleton structures.

Roof brick guards

Roof brick guards must be used when there is any risk of slipping on the roof, and they are mandatory for a roof inclination of 20° and above. Either brick guards or protection nets can be attached to the brick guard support.

Stairway Access

The aluminium platform and comfort stairways offer increased safety, convenience and speed when ascending the tower. Transporting material is made easier by using the work decks as all-round walkways too. In accordance with TRBS 2121 T1 regulations, stairways should be used when:

The landing-type stairway is connected using the U-distance coupler to the main scaffolding.

Layher’s Protect System – an enclosure that integrates with Allround Scaffolding and SpeedyScaf – is ideal for pedestrian protection, environmental protection, and noise reduction.
